In 2008 Everest Telecommunications plan to make a massive effort to become a greener and more ethical company and we know many of our customers want to make a similar effort. We realise that everything we do has an impact on the environment and we are dedicated to being a responsible company. Whether we’re working with staff, customers, suppliers or partners we are committed to
acting responsibly.

We believe that global climate change can only be addressed if each and every one of us takes steps to reduce our carbon footprint. Our customer liaisons officers and sales representatives produce a sizeable volume of carbon emissions by driving to our valued customers but by streamlining our appointment schedule and focusing on location and distance of each customer we aim to ensure wherever possible that public transport is used. We are also researching into investing into a more eco friendly electric operated cars and aim to provide our staff with them by 2009.

Recycling
We're working hard to boost recycling levels. We monitor the waste we produce and work to minimise it. We continually increase the amount we recycle and seek to improve our recycling procedures. Whenever possible, we will ensure the goods and services we purchase are manufactured, delivered, used, managed and disposed of in an environmentally responsible way. We monitor our energy consumption and continue to minimise it conserving energy and using renewable sources
where possible.

Working with Charity London Trees
Whenever a new customer joins us we'll donate the cost of planting a tree to registered charity London Trees (No. 1032194).
London trees will be planting native species, with a particular focus on oak and a mix of hazel, field maple, hawthorn and alder London during planting season.

Planting and nurturing trees is a recognised way of offsetting carbon emissions, but it's also a chance to improve the quality of London's natural areas for the enjoyment and well-being of its inhabitants.
